As a language educator, I always dreamed of teaching abroad. In 2015, I made that dream a reality and became an Ambassador Teacher in the U.S. I began teaching Spanish in a dual language immersion program and instantly fell in love. The idea of helping children become not only bilingual, but truly biliterate in Spanish became my passion and purpose.
When that season came to an end and I became a stay-at-home mom, I began homeschooling my own little ones. But my heart for education never stopped beating. I knew I wanted to keep creating, encouraging, and sharing to continue serving the amazing Spanish teachers still in the classroom… and now, also the growing community of bilingual homeschool families teaching Spanish at home.
Whether you’re a passionate Spanish teacher in a PreK–1st grade classroom or a dedicated homeschooling parent raising bilingual kids at home, you’re in the right place.
Joyfully Dual was created with the purpose of bringing joy, simplicity, and intention to Spanish teaching. I design low-prep, literacy-rich Spanish resources that support early learners in developing their language skills, building phonological awareness, and growing as confident bilinguals and biliterate readers and writers.
My goal is to give you tools, tips, and playful ideas to make Spanish learning fun, meaningful, and manageable whether that’s in a classroom or around the kitchen table.
